Disable Divi Gallery Image "Slide In" Effect

When you first view a Divi Theme gallery, the images will "slide in" from the left. If you don't want this slide in effect on your gallery images, you can disable it with the following CSS:

.et_pb_gallery_item {
	-webkit-animation: none !important;
	-moz-animation: none !important;
	-o-animation: none !important;
	-ms-animation: none !important;
	animation: none !important;
}

I've added an option into my Divi Booster plugin to disable the gallery "slide in" effect. It's available from Divi Booster version 2.0.8 onwards (under "Modules > Gallery).

  2. Couldn't get this to work — has this been depricated? Also not working in the DIVI Booster plugin

    • Hi Chris, sorry you've been having issues with it. Did you manage to get it working? When I look at your linked page now, I can see that the code added by Divi Booster is taking effect and the slide-in effect has been disabled.

      I've just done some testing and it looks like it's still working with the latest version of Divi (both the code and the Divi Booster feature).

      A couple of things to note…

      First, I see that you're on wpengine and I think they have a default caching time of 10 minutes, so if you aren't seeing changes right away, either clear the caches or wait 10 minutes then check again – otherwise you might just be seeing an old version of the page.

      Second, there are couple of animation effects in the gallery. The code here is specifically for the initial slide-in effect applied when the page first loads, and all the gallery images are visible. There are other animations, such as the animated "zoom in" when you actually click on an image. That isn't addressed by this code, but let me know if that's what you actually need.

      Anyway, I hope you've now solved it, as it appears to me you have, but give me a shout if not. Thanks!
