Open Divi Person Module Social Media Links in a New Browser Tab using Divi Booster

This method walks you through enabling the Divi Booster “Open Links in New Tab” option on the Divi Person module so its social media icons open in a separate browser tab. It’s ideal if you’re using Divi Booster and want a simple, configuration-based way to keep visitors on your site while still allowing them to view external social profiles, and to verify that the links are correctly rendered with the new tab behavior.

Add the Person Module and Enter Your Social Media Profile URLs

Once you’re editing your page with the Divi Builder and ready to add a Person module, search for the Person module and select it from the list. When the Person module settings open, head to the Content tab. In the social media options section, add your social media profile URL(s), if you haven't already.

Enable "Open Links in New Tab" in Divi Booster Options

While you’re still in the Person module’s Content settings, look for the Divi Booster setting near the social media URLs. Find the option labeled "Open Links in New Tab" and switch it on. This will ensure that when visitors click your social media icons, the links will open up in a new browser tab, keeping your site open in the original tab.

Save and Publish Your Page

Once you’ve entered your social profile and enabled the option, save the changes in the module settings and publish your page to make these updates live.

Check the Social Media Link on the Front-End

Now, view the page on the front-end. Locate your Person module and confirm that it appears as expected, with the social media icons visible. Click on one of the social icons and check that it opens in a new browser tab.
