Change the Blog Module "Older / Newer Entries" Text

Written by Dan Mossop

The Divi Blog Module presents users with pagination links showing "older entries" and "newer entries" to allow them to navigate a long list of posts. If you'd like to change the text of these links, here's how.

Changing the Older / Newer Entries Link Text in CSS

While it may not be the most correct way to do it, probably the easiest way to change the link text is to do it with some CSS like so:

.et_pb_blog_grid .pagination > .alignleft a:before {
    content: 'Older Posts';
    visibility: visible;
    padding-left: 40px;
}
.et_pb_blog_grid .pagination > .alignleft a {
    visibility: collapse;
}
.et_pb_blog_grid .pagination > .alignright a:before {
    content: 'Newer Posts';
    visibility: visible;
}
.et_pb_blog_grid .pagination > .alignright a {
    visibility: collapse;
}

  1. Can you add code line where left align has a little space?

    • Hey Nevena, thanks for the suggestion. I've added "padding-left: 40px;" to the first rule to indent the left to better balance the right. I hope it's what you had in mind, but please let me know if I've misunderstood, etc. Thanks!
