Hi Dan,
Bug report for you. Or at least it seems like a bug from my end.
On Mac browsers (Firefox, Chrome & Safari) as well as mobile browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Safari & Android Browser) social icons work like a dream, however, all microsoft build browsers seem to ignore the injection of the additional social networks.
Check it out http://glass-sellers.co.uk
I have the default divi twitter, and I've enabled linkedin using diviBooster, but it doesn't show up in my footer. Weird.
Not a biggie, but thought you should know.
Let me know of any progress. :)
Cheers
Andrew
Hi Andrew, I've just rewritten this feature changing the way the social icons are added into the page. If you update to the latest version of the plugin, hopefully this will solve the issue you were having.
For some reason the custom CSS for each browser function isn't working. I've got code that I'm setting specifically for Firefox and IE but as soon as I save the page it saves it as "everywhere" instead of just those browsers…any idea what's causing this?
I am running WP 4.2.2 Divi 2.4.5.1 and Divi Booster 1.7.8
I've tried reinstalling and nothing fixes this issue. Also – Divi Booster still displays under 'appearances' instead of the new 'Divi' sidebar/menu option. I'm thinking maybe my update feature isn't functioning again, is 1.7.8 the most recent version?
Hi Ben, updating to the latest version of Divi Booster should fix both the CSS manager issue and the Divi Booster menu location.
Thank you so much for patching it! The update did fix the CSS manager issue which was my main concern but the menu location is still under Appearances for some reason.
Hi Ben, I released the menu fix separate from and shortly after the CSS manager fix. Can I just get you to confirm that you have installed the latest version (1.8.2)? Thanks!
Hi Ben, I've just released an update to the plugin (version 1.8.1) which fixes this issue.
I didn't realize you released 2 updates today, it's all set now – thanks!
Hi,
Can I use Divi Booster on Divi 2.4, in order to enable the use of Divi Builder on custom post types?
Thanks
Hi Sebastian. Divi Booster includes a feature which lets you enable the Divi Builder on custom post types.
When I put the HTML link of my site in the footer, it drops down to a line below the copyright text. Is there a solution for this?
never mind, its working
Will Divi Booster allow me to use Divi layout settings on default WP pages like category search results?
Hi David, currently it doesn't give you a way to do the (and I don't know of any other way to do it). But it'd be a cool feature to have so I'll try to add it into a future version of Divi Booster. Thanks!
hello
I can't make the divi builder appear in my Custom Post Type.
I tried on a fresh wordpress install with all the updates
Latest version of Divi
Latest version of Divi Booster
When I'm on the Custom post type page I have a blue button "Use Page Builder" I click on it and nothing happens
I tried on Chrome and Firefox (Mac Os 10.9.5)
Someone has experienced the same issue ?
regards
Hi Amnaye, as of Divi 2.4 the old Divi Booster feature for using the page builder on posts and custom types is no longer necessary as Divi 2.4 enables the builder on posts itself… or so I thought. Elegant Themes had said they'd be enabling the Builder on custom post types too, but it turns out that this didn't happen. So I've added a new option to Divi Booster to enable the Divi Builder on custom post types, which works on Divi 2.4. If you upgrade to the latest version of Divi Booster (which I just released), you should find the new option in the "Divi Builder" section of the Divi Booster settings. Please note that there is no guarantee that it will work with every custom post type out there, so if you have any problems let me know. Thanks!
It works with your latest update.
Thank you very much
Still relevant with Divi 2.4?
Hi Gui, yes it's still relevant. The majority of Divi Booster features still can't be done in Divi alone, so it still has plenty to offer. That and I'll be adding a lot of new features in the future to help take full advantage of Divi 2.4.
I've released a Divi 2.4 compatible update. Please see:
https://divibooster.com/using-divi-booster-with-divi-2-4/
I see a possible improvement that you could make to Divi Booster.
Divi has a fundamental problem when it comes to the menu.
There are 2 problems and are only issues in the desktop mode, not the mobile mode
1. If you have a menu or sub menu that goes off the right side of the screen, you never see it.
2. If any menu or sub menu has so many items that it goes past the bottom of the screen, the user can't scroll down.
I've already fixed these issues within my child theme. If you'd like to see the fixes, let me know and I can send them to you. It would be nice to have these fixes in the Divi Booster plugin.
It's just a bit of JavaScript and works in Divi 2.3 and 2.4
I actually posted the fix to StackOverflow. You can see my post here:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/30912922/in-wordpress-using-elegant-themes-divi-theme-long-menus-dont-show
Hey Ray,
I've just had a look at the stack overflow post. Nice work!
They look like really useful and well done fixes, and are definitely something that would benefit a lot of sites. I'll do some testing on them myself and if all is well I'll add it into a future release of Divi Booster. I'll let you know if / when I do. Thanks!
Hi Jason,
I did purchase the DIVI Booster about a month ago, and it seems I dont have a record for License key. would you able to send it to me?
Hi Mohamed, I've just resent your purchase confirmation which contains the license key. Let me know if you don't receive it. Thanks!
Will you be updating Divi Booster for Divi 2.4 compatibility?
Thanks.
Hi Pat, the latest version of Divi Booster is Divi 2.4 compatible :)
Thanks Dan and I appreciate your help. Glad I found this very helpful plugin!
Still can't get any changes to work with this plugin. Have tried uninstalling and re-installing with no success. States a green tick will appear once the license is activated but mine does not. Social media icons added do not appear and tried to make header text bold but does not work either.
Hi Bruce, sorry to hear you're having problems.
1) A few people seem to be having a problem activating their licences, which I'm looking into at the moment. Note that the plugin is fully functional without that – the activation is just to enable updates.
2) There is a conflict with W3 Total Cache (which I see you are using) which prevents the social media icons from showing. I'll release a fix as soon as I can track down the source of the conflict. It's not an ideal option, but a temporary workaround would be to disable W3 total cache.
3) The bold header text is working for me. You may need to clear your browser cache (CTRL-Shift-delete on most browsers) before you can see the effect. Note also that the bold is not particularly strong on that font – you may need to toggle it on and off to confirm that it is being applied, as I did.
Hey Bruce & Dan,
Just wanted to report that I'm having the same issue with additional social icons added via Divi Booster. They do not work when W3 Total Cache is enabled. According to the ET support guys, there's a way to add some code to includes/social_icons.php manually, but I'm not sure if this is what Booster is trying to do already and it's blocked due to W3TC.
Any ETA on when there will be a Booster fix for this? Setting up W3TC took days of work so at this point, I can't disable it.
Hi mimicplay, I've just released an update to Divi Booster to fix the issue.
