Dan, I've asked several questions and they are still "awaiting moderation" Can you please respond to my questions. Thanks
Hi Mike, I'm very sorry for the silence. I receive a lot of comments and emails every day and in order to provide the most value (and avoid spending all my time firing off unhelpful replies), I generally don't respond to comments right away. Instead I read them all, and identify the most needed bug fixes, advice and features. Then I work on these areas and respond to the comments relating to them. This is undoubtedly annoying for individuals, but it is the only way I can make the most of my limited time to bring everyone the best plugin I can. I hope you understand.
That said, I've been through and answered your questions previous questions. Thanks for taking the time to ask them and I hope to be able to bring you some more complete answers in the future!
Quick question: is booster compatible with the very latest und up to date version of divi supplied by elegantthemes?!
best regards from germany…
thomas
Hi Thomas. Yes, Divi Booster is compatible with the latest version of Divi Booster. I'm also part of the beta testing group for the upcoming release of Divi 2.4 which is letting me ensure that Divi Booster which will be fully compatible with Divi 2.4 by the time it is released.
Hi Thomas,
I work with Divi, a child theme and Divi Booster in some Sites. It may be compatible – but some things are lookin´ bad after Update Divi. (Logo Size, no shrinking effect, Custom Slider Sizes …) Test it first!
Sincerely
Peter
Yeah, definitely test it first. I've done everything I can (as I know the Elegant Theme guys have), to make the transition as smooth as possible. Let me know if you notice any issues. Peter, I'll look into these things – if you happen to have a link to a page on which they are happening, please do send it across and I'll see what I can do.
Full width slider isn't full width on posts. Am I doing something wrong?
Hi Mike, I don't think it's anything you're doing wrong :) There seems to be something preventing the full-width slider (and possibly other full-width modules) from actually being shown full-width. I'll try to come up with a fix and will update the plugin once I've figured it out.
When scrolling down my homepage the scroll down continues past the footer. Does anyone know why this would happen? Is it because of any option i selected in the DiviBooster settings?
Hi Stephen, it's not a Divi Booster setting. It looks like it is caused by the "Social Media Icon From Acurax International" plugin you have installed. It's displaying your social icons, but then keeps moving them down of the bottom of the page, making the page taller and taller. I don't know the plugin so I'm not sure if there is a way to stop this other than by disabling it.
God Bless you Dan! Thank you so much!
Hey Dan,
This looks great! I just have 2 quick questions before I buy:
Can I use Divi Booster to put an email optin form in the header, under the links? There's a great example of this at coschedule.com/blog.
Also, can I put a make a widget in the right hand sidebar sticky? Or is it only on the left?
Thanks,
Ollie
Hi Ollie, You can use Divi Booster to create a widget area in the header under the links, so if you have a plugin which gives you an email optin form widget (most email optin plugins will), then yes, you'll be able to add it under the header. At the moment, there is only the option to make a left hand side sticky widget. I'll try to add an option to show it on the right in a future version of the plugin. Thanks!
Great – thank you for getting back to me.
In the Footer section I replaced the code with (while having the box checked):
Jacob E. Smith, Attorney at Law, 955 Chambers St. #250, Ogden, UT 84403
Phone: 801.436.7459 Email: Jacob@JacobESmithLaw.com
[copy] [year] Jacob E. Smith, Attorney at Law. All Rights Reserved.
However it displays on the live site as just two lines, with the first line just spilling over. Any ideas on what is going on?
Hi Jonathan, to insert new breaks into the footer, you need to use the HTML code for a new line, which is: <br/>
Hey Dan,
I've noticed on a couple of my websites Divi Booster isn't updating. I tried to re-install it on my website but now its stuck at 1.0.5 or there about. I try the check for updates. Any ideas?
Hi Erik,
I've made quite a few updates to Divi Booster since version 1.0.5, including some bug fixes for update issues. So the first thing to try is to download and manually update to the latest version (I've just resent you a download link).
Hopefully you should then be able to receive future updates via your WordPress admin plugins page. Let me know if that's not the case.
Suggestion;
It would be great if we could adjust Heading sizes. For example having the ability to make all Heading sizes the same.
Hi Mike, I agree that being able to control the headers would be a great feature. If it's not added by the next update of Divi I'll look into whether or not I can add it into Divi Booster.
Hi, I have purchased the divi booster plugin, but did not get the download link.
Can u pls provide the link?
Hi Rod, sorry to hear you didn't receive the download link. I've sent it to you by email – let me know if you don't receive it. Thanks!
I purchased this some time ago and want to use it again but it says my download link has expired…I can provide my license key if needed but where can I download this again? Just FTP from my other site?
Hey Jason, I've just resent your purchase confirmation which should contain a fresh download link. Let me know if you don't receive it. FTP would work too, if that's easier for you. Cheers!
Got it thanks!
Hi,
I'm new to Divi and Divi booster. One of the first things I did was add an Instagram link to the footer. However, the setting doesn't seem to "stick". When I'm logged into WP in the same session and refresh the site page, the Instagram link is there. If I log out of WP, the link and icon disappear. Am I doing something wrong?
Hey Sean, this type of behavior normally happens when you have a performance plugin installed (in your case, I see you are using WP Super Cache). These plugins show users an old version of the page (as it's faster than generating the latest version of the page), but they show logged-in admins the very latest version so you can see your changes as you make them.
To make the changes available to the users, and yourself when logged out, you'll need to "flush" WP Super Cache's cache. To see the changes right away you may also need to clear your browser cache (CTRL-shift-del on most browsers).
Do you need to already have the Page Builder in order for the Booster to work?
Hey B, the only thing you need to have is the Divi Theme from Elegant Themes. Page Builder is a built in part of the Divi theme, and is normally only available on pages. My Divi Booster plugin makes it available on posts too. Hope that makes sense :)
Yes it definitely makes sense. I actually downloaded Divi theme for free from the site I found and last night I noticed my Page Builder button wasn't working. I'm wondering if the version I downloaded in older and not compatible with the latest version of Word Press. I've run into this issue with the theme Rosa that I purchased from ThemeForest. It wasn't until I updated everything that the live customizer worked. I may just have to purchase the theme from Elegant Themes. Thanks for your quick response and yes it made sense ;)
Ah okay. Yeah, if you can I'd definitely recommend purchasing a copy as it'll be fully up-to-date and should be working correctly. You'll also get access to the Elegant Themes support and the latest updates (it looks like they have a major update with lots of cool features on the way). If you still have problems with the button not working then I'd check for plugin conflicts by disabling all the plugins and (if that fixes the issue) re-enabling them one at a time until you find the one that is stopping the button from working.
Hi Dan. I just purchased your plugin. Is there a way to make the "Slider Image" left or right?
It appears that Divi defaults to the Left and your plugin can make it default to the Right.
I would love the ability to alternate Left and Right.
Dan, any feedback on my suggestion?
Please see my reply. Cheers!
Hi Mike, yeah currently Divi defaults to the left and my plugin changes it to default to the right. Being able to alternate between left and right images (and more generally adjust the layout on a per-slide basis) would be awesome. It something I'm hoping to add in to a future version, and it's on my to do list, though I can't give any guarantees on when that would happen.
