Dan, would you have time to do some paid work for me – depending on how much it will cost.
I'm really struggling with Divi, it's not anywhere near as flexible as I thought it would be.
I just need the css for a search widget so it looks the same on the whole site, posts, pages, the shop and the forum.
As you can see the top widget on the left hand side looks different on this page
http://www.whataworld.co.uk/lcgb/news/
to this page
http://www.whataworld.co.uk/lcgb/information/
and to this post
http://www.whataworld.co.uk/lcgb/the-lcgb-strategic-plan/
The client wants it to look the same on every page, which doesn't seem like to much to ask but I am really struggling>
I have this css but I don't really know what I'm doing. Ideally I'd like the postcode search to look really similar to the Divi login module>
.infopostcodesearch {
background-color: #5084a1;
padding: 20px 6px;
width: 307px;
bbp_login_widget {
background-color: #5084a1;
padding: 20px 6px;
width: 307px;
}
.infopostcodesearch .widgettitle {
color: #ffffff;
font-weight: normal;
font-size: 20px;
}
.et_pb_column_1_3 .et_pb_widget_area_left .et_pb_widget { margin-left: 30px; margin-right: 0px; }
Hey Lisa, unfortunately I'm not in a position to do paid work for you (contractually or time-wise). Thank for posting the details of your issue, though. If I have a bit of free time I'll try to advise you further – no promises on when that might be though!
Thanks again Dan
I'm using Divi Booster with Widget CSS Classes so I can assign a css class to the widgets in the default sidebar. Your plugin means I can make it the right width and get rid of the dividing line so that really helps. I have lots of tweaking to do!
It's working everywhere I need it to, posts, maps (I'm using Map List Pro) and BBPress too.
If there was a way to find out the css classes of the modules Divi uses in the sidebar I wouldn't have to attempt to replicate them.
Unfortunately I don't think it'll be as simple as setting the same class on the widget as you also need to copy the rest of the structure of the divi code. You could probably get close to the look you want by copying the HTML source of the corresponding divi component into a text widget, but you'd still need to tweak it and merge it with the functionality of the original form.
Hy Dan.
Excuse me for my english I'm French. First thanks for Divi users.
Is it possible to put Subscribe Module in footer please ? It is possible only in page builder and we can't use it in footer widget.
Thanks
You're welcome, Stef! At the moment I don't know of any way to put Page Builder modules like the subscribe module into the footer. Lisa has just asked for essentially the same thing, so it looks like it would be a popular feature for the plugin. I suspect it is going to be tricky to do, so it may take me a while to figure it out but I'll try my best to add it to the plugin in the future.
Another happy customer from across the pond (UK)… Great work Dan!… Looking forward to taking her for a spin through the leafy digital lanes of jolly old England!… lol
What I really need is to be able to use a page builder on the default sidebar – that way I won't have to get the client to use the page builder for blog posts, it will show up as I want it on the forum and map listings I have.
Would that be possible? At the moment I have no control over the way the default sidebar looks other than to add widgets that don't look like the ones I've put in with the page builder.
Interesting, I hadn't thought of trying to use the page builder in the sidebar before. I'm not sure how I'd even begin to make that work, but hey I like a challenge! I'll look into it for a future release, but I can't make any guarantees on if or when I can solve it!
Purchased it immediately. What is the proper channel to ask for help/questions? Do you want those here? By email? On the FB Group? Other?
Hi Shelia, I'm looking to set up a support forum section shortly, but for now please just leave me a comment here (or message me on FB, etc). It's probably best not to ask in the FB Group if it's something specific about the plugin that only I can deal with, just to avoid cluttering the group.
If I bought this could I put the modules that I can use on a page into a post?
Would I be able to see the sidebar I wanted on a single post?
The client wants a login on every part of the site in a sidebar and it has to look the same throughout.
Hi Lisa, yes it should be possible with the option to use the page builder on posts.
Hi,
Do you have another payment portal to buy your plugin?
My bank dont accept Pay Pal transfers..
Can we make alternative arrangements?
thanks!
Albert
I don't currently have another payment portal, but I'll look into setting up other payment options in the future.
Ohhhhh, too bad :(
I needed to buy that plugin.
I hope there will be a solution soon.
Thank you
Yeah, sorry Rony. I'll be looking into alternative payment methods in the future.
Hi! I'm interested in this plugin, especially how you can add the page builder to posts. Are people able to leave comments when using page builder on posts?
Hi Melissa, yes people are able to leave comments on the pagebuilder posts, just as they would on a regular post.
– One big issues in Divi booster are the sliders. They are not exact enough. I can't set a logo height to 100px for example. Either 98px or 102px. It's also not possible to go back to the default 43px. Either 45px or 42px ;) We defintely need text input fields. I wouldn't mind removing the sliders completely.
– Another issue: "Fix header menu width / magnifying glass issue" breaks the centered header layout. The menu is no longer centered.
Another one: "Center the footer links" seems to have no effect.
Thanks Benjamin I'll look into this.
Hi Dan,
AMAZING plugin, but I am having the same issue with the "Center the footer links" checkbox having no effect.
Thank you!
Hey Rick, I've updated the plugin to fix this. Let me know if it doesn't work for you.
Hey Benjamin, I'll definitely add text inputs to the sliders, and may remove the sliders altogether. In the meantime, you can click on the slider control and then use the arrow keys to nudge the value up or down by one pixel (not very intuitive, I know). I've updated the plugin to fix the menu centering issue. Thanks, Dan.
Love the Plugin.
Just one question.
I checked the box to "Use mobile header menu button on desktops too" too see how it looked and would like to turn it off.
I unchecked the box but the menu button didn't disappear. Also I can't find where the css is written so i can't delete it.
Thanks
Hey Fred, did you manage to fix this? I just took a look at your site and the header menu is now showing the regular links.
There are a couple of possible causes that spring to mind…
One is that you didn't press "Save Changes" after unchecking the box (though I'm sure you would have).
The other is that it is a caching issue. By design, Divi Booster's features are completely disabled when they are unchecked, but caching plugins and services can sometimes continue to show an old version of the page for a while. This can generally be resolved by clearing the caches within those plugins / services.
Anyway, let me know if you're still having issues and I'll look into other possible causes.
Hi Dan! I just got the Divi Booster and am really excited to use it. Been testing out this and that to see what happens when I click " this box' or "that box'. haha. what fun!
One thing I would love to do with EASE it to make a Photo appear behind the Subscribe button. I saw that there is a horizontal subscription box now ( yep. I clicked that box!) but How do I make a photo appear behind fill in boxes ( ie for name and email) ?
Ha ha, glad you're enjoying it Elissa :)
That would be a cool feature. Once I've made sure everyone's happy with their plugin purchase I'll be starting to add more features in. I'll definitely look into this one!
