Show "Back to Top" button in Learndash Focus Mode

Written by Dan Mossop

Learndash has a focus mode which provides students with a distraction-free view of the course content (e.g. lessons and topics). One useful feature of the Divi Theme that is normally hidden in focus mode is the 'Back to Top' button. Here's how to make Divi's 'Back to Top' button work in focus mode.

Display the Back to Top button using Divi LearnDash Kit

You can use the Divi Learndash Kit plugin to display the Divi 'Back to Top' button in LearnDash focus mode.

First, if you haven't already done so, install and activate Divi LearnDash Kit. Once activated, it will automatically display the Divi 'Back to Top' button in focus mode whenever the 'Back to Top' button is enabled in the Divi Theme Options.

You can enable the 'Back to Top' button in the Divi Theme Options at:

Divi > Theme Options > General > Back to Top Button

The option is available in Divi Learndash Kit version 1.5.8 onwards.

Display the Back to Top button using PHP

First, ensure you have the Divi 'Back to Top' button active on your site, by enabling it at:

Divi > Theme Options > General > Back to Top Button

The following PHP code can then be used to display the Back to Top button in LearnDash focus mode:

add_action('learndash-focus-content-footer-after', 'dbc_add_back_to_top_icon_to_learndash_focus_mode');

function dbc_add_back_to_top_icon_to_learndash_focus_mode() {
    echo '<span class="et_pb_scroll_top et-pb-icon"></span>';
}

Integrate Divi Features with LearnDash

Elevate your LearnDash LMS experience by seamlessly integrating with Divi using the Divi LearnDash Kit. This plugin allows you to display essential Divi features, like the 'Back to Top' button, even in LearnDash's distraction-free focus mode. Enjoy greater control and enhanced functionality for your online courses.
