Add QR Codes with Ease using Divi
Divi QR Code Module
Whether it's linking to special offers, downloading apps, or guiding visitors to specific web pages, a QR code added to your site can enhance the user experience, reduce friction and drive sales.
Setup is easy. Simply add the module to your page, enter the URL you want the QR Code to point to and you're good to go! You can even use Divi's dynamic content feature to add dynamic QR codes to your templates.
Flexible Formats
The supported formats are:
- Inline HTML – this embeds the QR code right into the HTML page, using html tags. Perfect for everyday use, this format is also suited to advanced tweaking of the QR code via JavaScript, etc.
- SVG – this generates the QR code as an SVG image, making it ideal for copying, sharing or downloading for use in printed materials.
FAQs
How much data can I encode in a QR code?
Can I use this to add vCards?
Does Divi QR Code module support Dynamic Content?
Yes! The QR code module supports dynamic content in the main "QR Code URL or Data" field. This lets you set the QR Code from a custom field, advanced custom field (ACF) or other data source.
To use it, simply hover over the field to reveal the dynamic content icon. Click it to open up the dynamic content menu and from there select your desired custom field or other dynamic value.
Is it posible to Add a dynamic url form a custom filed (CPT)? I don’t see the DB icon at the end of the “QR Code URL or data” field of the module to Connect a custom field.
Hey Alex, yes, the "QR Code URL or data" field supports dynamic content so you can load the QR code data from a custom field / advanced custom field (ACF). It's not shown in the screenshots, but if you hover over the field the dynamic content icon will be revealed. Clicking this will bring up the dynamic content menu with your custom fields listed. I've just added clarification of this to the FAQs section, since it wasn't clear. I hope that helps!
What are all the formats that the plugin supports besides web url and vcard?
Hey stephen, there are no restrictions on the format – you can put any data in there. It just needs to be in a format supported by your QR reader. Is there something in particular you want to use it for?
Hi, can i create a V-Card with contact-informations?
Hi Brigitte, thanks for asking. I've just put up a post describing how to do it:
Create a QR vCard with Divi QR Code Module
Note that I've just released v1.2 with some changes that make it easier to add vCards – an increased character limit (780 characters) and a multi-line input box for the QR Code data.
I hope that helps!
Hi, the URL May be the current's page URL also?
Hi Robert! Absolutely – if you leave the "QR Code URL or Data" field empty when using the Divi QR Code Module, the default will be to create a QR code that links to the current page. This feature is handy for connecting printed articles back to your original web page or providing a quick way for mobile users to open and bookmark your page. I hope that answers your question, but let me know if there's anything further you'd like to know. Thanks!
