Randomize Divi Advent Calendar Door Order

Written by Dan Mossop

The holiday season is all about joy, surprises, and festive cheer, and what better way to achieve that than with an interactive advent calendar on your website? The Divi Advent Calendar Module provides just that, and now, with version 1.1, we've introduced a fun feature to make your calendar even more engaging: the ability to randomize door order.

To activate this feature, simply enable the setting at:

Advent Calendar Settings > Content > Text > Randomize Door Order

With this option enabled, the door order will be shuffled based on the post ID and the current year. This ensures that if you have multiple calendars showcasing on different pages, each will have a unique order. Even on the same page, the order will refresh each year providing a fresh experience annually.

But for any given calendar and year, just like a physical advent calendar, the doors remain in place for the user, maintaining their positions after refreshes or on return visits. This way, the element of surprise is preserved without altering the experience mid-month.

The Randomize Door Order option is off by default, and when it is off the doors will display in numerical order.

Bring an extra dose of excitement to your website this holiday season with the new randomization feature of the Divi Advent Calendar Module v1.1.
