Create a Custom 404 Page in Divi

Written by Dan Mossop

Creating a custom 404 page template using the Divi Theme Builder is a great way to customize the "No Results Found" message. Here’s how to do it:

1. Start a new Theme Builder Template

In your WordPress Dashboard, go to Divi > Theme Builder.

Click on Add New Template.

2. Assign the Template to 404 pages:

In the "Use On" section, select 404 Pages.

Click Create Template.

3. Build Custom Body:

Click on Add Custom Body, then select Build Custom Body to open the Divi Builder.

4. Design Your Custom 404 Page:

Use Divi’s modules to design your custom 404 page. You can, for example, add a Text Module and customize it to display your custom 404 message. Or get creative and design a full 404 page layout.

5. Save the Template:

Once you’re happy with your design, click the Save button within the Divi Builder.

Don’t forget to save your changes in the Theme Builder itself by clicking the Save Changes button at the top.

6. Clear Cache (if needed):

If you’re using any caching plugins or services, clear the cache to see the updates on your site.

By following these steps, your custom message will appear on your 404 pages, giving visitors a more tailored experience when they encounter a page not found.
