A Distraction-Free EDD Checkout in Divi

It's generally believed that cleaner, less cluttered checkout pages tend to lead to increased sales. If you're using Easy Digital Downloads with the Divi Theme, you may like to remove some of the unnecessary Divi components from your checkout page.

Examples of things that generally aren't necessary, and may distract your customers, on the checkout page are the secondary header, the main navigation links, the sidebar, the footer widgets, the footer menu, and the footer social icons.

I tend to like to leave the logo (and homepage link) in place so users aren't trapped on the checkout page. I also personally like to leave the bottom footer (the one with the copyright / credit links) to give a bit of continuity / stop the page from feeling incomplete.

Here's the CSS I use to create a distraction-free checkout page:

    display: none;
}

This is available as an option in Divi Booster from v2.6.2 onwards. You'll find it on the Divi Booster settings page under "Plugins > Easy Digital Downloads > Hide unnecessary Divi components on checkout".
