Fix Divi Pricing Tables Module Title Color not Working

Written by Dan Mossop

If you're experiencing an issue where the title color of your Divi Pricing Tables module appears correctly in the Theme Builder but shows a different color on the live site, you're not alone. This discrepancy often arises due to conflicting styles with the same level of specificity being applied in different orders. Here's a step-by-step guide to resolve this issue.

How to Fix Divi Pricing Tables Module Title Color:

  • Go to Pricing Tables Settings > Design > Title Text > Featured Title Text Color and set your desired color.
  • Go to (Individual) Pricing Table Settings > Design > Title Text > Title Text Color and ensure the color matches.
  • Use Custom CSS if needed

Understanding the Problem

In Divi, the title color for the featured pricing table can be set in two different places:

  1. Pricing Tables Settings: Design > Title Text > Featured Title Text Color
  2. (Individual) Pricing Table Settings: Design > Title Text > Title Text Color

Both settings have the same level of specificity. However, the order in which these styles are applied can differ between the Theme Builder and the live site, leading to inconsistent color display.

Here are the two conflicting settings:

Solution 1: Align the Colors in Divi Settings

Navigate to the Pricing Tables Settings at:

Pricing Tables Settings: Design > Title Text > Featured Title Text Color

Ensure that the Featured Title Text Color is set to your desired color or unset it

Now navigate to:

Pricing Table Settings > Design > Title Text > Title Text Color

And ensure that it's set to your desired color (or unset it if you have set the color in the setting above). By using only one of these settings, you should see the same color in both the visual builder and on the live site.

Solution 2: Use Custom CSS

If adjusting the settings doesn't help, use custom CSS to enforce a consistent color. Here's how:

  • First, add a custom class to the individual pricing table module. For example, add the class custom-pricing-table to the Pricing Table module.
  • Next, add the following CSS to Divi > Theme Options > General > Custom CSS:

.custom-pricing-table.et_pb_featured_table .et_pb_pricing_heading h2.et_pb_pricing_title {
       color: #ff0000 !important;
}

Replace #ff0000 with your chosen color code.

This custom CSS uses a more specific selector and the !important declaration to ensure the correct color is applied consistently, overriding any conflicting styles.
