Hundreds of new features for Divi
in one easy-to-use plugin
Great job! Having build a handful of websites with divi, I almost instantly made my money back on this great plugin on time saved / ease of use. (instead of digging through css for basic changes!) Thanks Man!
Hi Dan, looks like a great plugin!
Hows it get along with CSSHero?
Thanks,
Joseph
Thanks Joseph! It plays nicely with CSSHero :) There's a bit more info about how they fit together on this page: http://divibooster.com/divi-booster-plugin-faqs/
Question before i buy :) I i ma in gretae need of wpml used in divi. But i seems i will need to get to the code to make it work with divi ( putting languages on header ) an i am kinda lazzzyyyyy is there any help from booster in this place ?
P.S. I see a lot of good options there but there is no screenshots. Maybe you should consider adding them ?
Is there any chance i can change font size of header with booster ?
P.P.S. Are you going to make some functions like css hero have ? :)
Sorry for Dan name :) I fought i was adressing to you not writing name of mine ;)_
Ah, in that case I'm sorry for calling you Dan in my reply :)
Np and thanks for answers. Yes i will need other solution for wpml is not option. You can check at wwww.viltaura.lt it is other solution harder one. But you will see idea.
But thanks for answers.
Ill gonna buy it ;)
Hey Dan,
So from looking at it, in order to add wpml to the Divi header, you just need a widget area to put it in. Divi Booster lets you add a widget area just below the menu links and I think that might do what you need. (If not, let me know and I'll see what I can do).
I definitely need to add more screenshots! Like you I'm kinda lazy! There are some screenshots of the plugin on the main plugin page, however: http://divibooster.com/divi-booster-the-easy-way-to-customize-divi/
I've just added the option to change the header font size (and the header link hover color). :)
While there is some overlap with CSS Hero, Divi Booster is more focused on specific Divi configurations which often require more than just CSS to get working. CSS Hero is more general and very useful, but there is a lot it can't manage, particularly on a complex theme like Divi. I won't be specifically trying to replicate CSS Hero's features, so the best option might be to use the two plugins together.
Hey Dan
I've just started using Divi, which is great in many respects, but has obvious limitations which are annoying for someone like me who doesn't have coding skills.
Your plugin certainly looks to be an essential tool which goes a long way to addressing many of these shortcomings. Well done!
One priority for me is to be able to insert links to my client's social media pages – particularly Linkedin. I think this has been discussed? Is this feature far away?
Thank you
Forrest
This seems to be a particularly popular feature request today! So I've taken a break from bug fixing to add it… It just needs some final testing and hopefully I'll get the update out at some point tomorrow.
Wow! Impressive support. Thanks Dan.
Thanks mate. I've just updated the plugin with an option to add more social media icons (such as linkedin) to Divi. It's under "General" on the Divi Booster settings page.
I've just released the update :)
Dan,
A Feature Request …
In the CSS Manager … for the screen width options …. could I propose a setting that is ….
768px and wider (Everything but smartphones)
Why? Often Ipads, tablets, laptops, etc show features appropriately. Only when you get on to smartphones are things dodgy.
So, I find myself adding the same bit of CSS twice to 768-1099px (tablets) & 1100px and wider (desktops)
Make sense?
Thanks Mark
Agreed. The CSS manager should let you specify a range (e.g. 768px and higher) with an option to use either the divi breakpoints, as you can now, or a custom pixel setting. It's something I've been wanting to improve for a while and will do so as soon as possible. Thanks!
Hey Dan!
This looks almost too good to be true. To that end, a few thoughts from me:
Do the slider height changes fail gracefully in responsive mode?
Do changes made in this Plugin override Divi defaults at all times, sort of like a child theme in plugin form?
Would you add a 'sticky' footer to pin the footer either to the bottom of the content / bottom of the viewport depending on which is lower?
These are things I've most often been frustrated by with Divi.
Also, did I read right that this is a one time buy, unlimited usage licence? That would be the dream.
Cheers!
Andrew
Hey Andrew! Yes to everything :)
On small screens, the slider height falls back to the standard Divi slider height (as the custom height would generally be too big for mobiles). I'm planning to update this as soon as possible to make is to as the screen width decreases the custom height is reduced by the same ratio as I think this will look better and I've had a lot of people asking for it.
Yeah, that's exactly right. The plugin overrides Divi's defaults and in that sense behaves just like a child theme in plugin form. The main difference with a child theme is that you can easily choose which changes you want and leave the rest disabled.
I will look into pinning the footer – it's something that annoys me to :)
Finally, yes, it's a one time buy with an unlimited usage license! It probably won't always be like that, but since the plugin is new, that's what I'm offering at the moment.
Thanks!
Dan
Hi Dan
Im wondering if I can globally and/or specifically change gutter / column widths and ratios with divi booster ? – or do I need to set it up at a deeper level ? Appreciate any help – enjoying having found out about this page – Cheers
Hey Paul, it's not something that I've implemented in Divi Booster yet, but I've had a lot of people asking about it and plan to add it soon. I'll let you know when I do.
Dan,
I note a new release of Divi Booster version 1.2.2
Any new features of note … or a changelog to refer to?
Thanks, Regards Mark
Hey Mark, no major features of note at this stage. I'm basically just cleaning up after the launch fixing bugs and generally improving things. Once that's complete I'll be looking at adding lots of new features.. Like better social media icon support :) To see the changelog for the latest version, go to the plugins page in WordPress. If you have activated the license key it should offer the option to upgrade to the latest version. There will also be a "view details" link – click that to see the changelog"
Cheers, Dan
Dan, FYI a 'View Details' link is not presented in the Wordpress Plugins area for Divi Booster. Take a look … unless mine is the exception to the rule ;-)
Thanks Mark
Hey Mark, you won't see the link if there is no update available (i.e. you're running the latest version), or if you haven't activated the license key (no green tick in the Divi Booster settings). If it's the former, you can view the changelog in your WordPress directory at /wp-content/plugins/divi-booster/readme.txt and if it's the later, just activate your license key and you should get the "view details" link.
Divi Booster looks like a great tool, Dan! I can't wait to start using it.
Please let everyone know when it's ready for WordPress multi-sites. I think it will be a huge selling feature!
Hi Rob,
I'll be sure to let everyone know. I'm in the process of setting up a multi-site setup to test the plugin on :)
Hi Dan,
I was wondering if your plugin makes it possible to reduce the height of the space that is between the menu bar and the first module displayed on the page (I use the page builder feature of Divi on all pages). Also, is it possible to reduce the height of a text module within a section / the height of the section itself with your plugin?
Thanks,
Sanne
Hey Sanne, the plugin doesn't have options for these at the moment. But I've had a lot of requests for options to control the spacing in Divi, so I'll be tackling the problem soon.
I use the booster on my blog allowing for use of the page builder. I have full width footer modules on all my other pages but cannot use them on the blog posts as it is too narrow – is there a way round this?
Hi Nathan, I don't know of a workaround at the moment, but I'll look into it soon and see if I can figure something out.
Dan,
I am using Divi Booster on http://www.aspacetocallhome.com. We were thrilled to be able to use the page builder in the blog.
Unfortunately, the blog content bleeds over into the sidebar and there is a one pixel line on the right side of the content for the full length of the page.
Where is the CSS for this?
Is there a support forum someplace that would be a more appropriate place to ask this question?
Thanks.
Hey Dan, the sidebar overrun is due to the way pagebuilder works (it assumes there's no sidebar). I'm looking into potential fixes, but for now the best workaround is to give your posts a (3/4, 1/4) column layout and leave the 1/4 column blank. I'm hoping to set up a decent support forum, but until then here's the best place.
