Hi Dan, I've just recently purchased your Divi Booster plug in and it's excellent. I'm have a small issue I'm hoping you could solve with the Accordion module. It doesn't function on iPhones & mobile devices. Is there a work round for this problem or something Divi Booster can fix?
Thanks
Jon
Hi Dan, Ignore my first message about the Accordian problem. It's all sorted now. Thanks Jon
Ah, just replied to your first message… so ignore my first answer :) I'm glad you got it sorted!
Hi Jon, I'll look into it and see what I come up with. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
Will this booster allow for me to add LinkedIn in the social media at the top of the page? I am sure it would be an easy code fix, but am not sure I have the time right now. In the theme settings, I only saw Facebook, twitter and google as social media options.
Hi valmedia. Yes, Divi Booster allows you to add a LinkedIn icon to the top of the page. You'll find the option on the Divi Booster settings page under "Site-wide Settings > Icons > Add more social media icons".
In the latest version, I cannot view my site on mobile. Anything under 768px gives me white screen. The only way I can overcome this is to disable divi booster. Any thoughts on why? I even went as far as disabling each setting one by one. The only solution was completely disabling the plugin.
Hi Ryan, the first thing I'd try is increasing the WordPress memory limit. It is common for growing sites to reach the WP memory limit and the result is a white screen. While any plugin can cause the limit to be reached, occasionally Divi Booster will be the straw that breaks the camel's back. You can increase the memory limit as described in this post:
https://docs.woothemes.com/document/increasing-the-wordpress-memory-limit/
If that doesn't help, is there any chance you are able to send me a link to the site (with Divi Booster enabled, if possible) so that I can take a look?
I will send you a link this evening. Its probably not memory as I have that site set at 512
It seems to be something with javascript or CSS. as I said it only happens with mobile.
Yeah, probably not a memory issue then. I'll be interested to take a look as I can't think what specifically would be causing it.
I sent you the link via the contact page. Let me know what you see. We can go from there. Thanks Dan
Hi Ryan, I've just sent you an answer. It looks like there was a conflict between the "mobile" class added to the body tag by Divi Booster's CSS manager and one of the CSS rules in your child theme.
Hi Dan,
I found your blog, which led me down the rabbit hole of the divi booster. :)
What I'm wondering is, is if this plugin allows you to add text over a slider full width image, or left align, bottom left align text over slider full width widget?
Right now the problem Im running into is that I don't have control over how the text is displayed over a slider full width image. And I can't even seem to place text over a full width image for home pages.
Here is an example of how I want to be able to manipulate and control the text over images,
https://graphpaperpress.com/themes/full-frame/#demo-desktop
Hi Charissa. I don't yet have an option in Divi Booster for controlling the slider text positioning (other than a feature for swapping the slide text and image position. However, I've put together a bit of a post which should hopefully help you out:
https://divibooster.com/positioning-slide-text-on-a-full-width-divi-slider/
It shows how to control the text position for individual slides using the slide's custom CSS field. Hopefully it helps you out, but please let me know if you still aren't able to achieve the effect you want.
Hi Dan,
Is this working on 2.6.6? Also, I am looking to add a widget area in the header. Does this allow this as well?
Thanks,
Joe
Hi Joe. Yes, Divi Booster allows you to add a widget area in the header (below the header links) and should be working correctly in 2.6.6.
Would you consider adding more control over the Blog module? I'd like to do things like hide the content completely, display as a list, and change the featured image size and float.
Hi Daniel, I'll definitely consider these for a future release, as they'd be great features to have.
People are actually paying for this? More than half of your options are deprecated and are part of the divi/builder itself. Even more alarming is that you didn't find all these options yourself and are not giving credit where credit is due!
Hi KillerSneak, that's inaccurate. Of the 103 options currently in Divi Booster only 23 have been deprecated. It's to be expected that some options will become deprecated as Elegant Themes continue to develop divi/builder. I could of course remove these from Divi Booster and have zero deprecated options, but I maintain them for users stuck with earlier versions of Divi. Either way, that leaves 80 options which add functionality not available in Divi. I developed the vast majority of these myself. Occasionally people are kind enough to send me their own Divi tweaks for inclusion into the plugin and I credit them according to their wishes. If you know of any options where this is not the case, please let me know and I will correct my error. Thanks!
Hi Dan,
your plugin sounds good, but I am looking for a few other things:
– breadcrumbs
– page speed optimization
– ability to use divi builder on custom post types
Do you plan something in this direction? Thanks in advance.
Hi Markus, I need to update this post, as there are now more features in Divi Booster…
I've now added in the ability to use the divi builder on custom post types. I've also made a first step towards page speed optimization with the option to enable page compression – I'll be looking into future page speed improvements in the future. I don't yet have any option for adding breadcrumbs, but it's something I've been asked about a few times and will definitely consider for a future version of the plugin.
Hi Dan,
In Icons – Skype field what is an acceptable form of Skype address to put in as this field works as a link and Skype doesn't accept direct links?
Thanks
Hi Sinisa,
You can use "Skype URIs" which are a special format of link which, if clicked, will launch an action in skype. For example, putting in the following:
Will make it so that, if a user clicks on the skype icon, a skype call to the user with username "yourskypeusername" will be initiated. I hope that's what you were looking for.
Hi.. your app sounds excellent. Have you tested it with Divi 2.6 yet?
Thanks Tony. I'm just going through the process of testing it with Divi 2.6 at the moment and will be releasing updates as any issues are fixed. Let me know if you spot any issues.
How is your testing going?
Question – as DIVI adds in things in your list do you remove them from your plugin so there are no conflicts?
Hi Kevin, the testing is progressing smoothly. I've had a few issues with my web host which has been causing me problems, but I'm working through them :)
I don't remove them entirely. Instead I move them in to the "Deprecated" section within Divi Booster and aim to keep them operational and resolve any conflicts. This means that people's sites keep on working until they are ready to switch to using the Divi implementation of the feature, and once they do they can disable the feature in Divi Booster.
Hello, i am thinkin on buying the divi booster.
I am just starting with wordpress and Divi and i found the theme great.
I have a question: is possible with the booster you made to customize for example the arrows on the gallery? I need that and make portfolios with 2 and 3 columns..
Hi Rodrigo, it doesn't currently have a way to customize the gallery arrows but I'll try to add it in a future version. Divi Booster does let you change the number of columns in the portfolios (note that currently it applies to all portfolios on the same site).
Hi Dan,
I bought your booster first to use the horizontal subscribe module style (thanks to Geno).
I see the instructions on his site but I don't want to edit my CSS, I thought this would do something more easily so I wouldn't have to edit the CSS page.
Can you explain? thx
Deb
Hi Deb, Divi Booster lets you use the horizontal subscribe module style without needing to edit the CSS. On the Divi Booster settings page, go to "Modules > Signup" and tick the "Use horizontal subscribe module style" option. Then press "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page. Now if you refresh the page with the subscribe module you should see the new module style. I hope that helps.
